Horizontal braces are placed at the bottom of the scaffold and also as a guard around the platform. four horizontal braces are recommended for each platform level plus two for the bottom.

Diagonal braces are the main components that hold the scaffold in place, four diagonal braces are required for every two metres up.

The following scaffolds use the following braces:

  1. H-Frame: 1800mm Horizontal / 1981mm Diagonal
  2. 2.0m length scaffold: 2000mm Horizontal / 2000mm Diagonal
  3. 2.5m length scaffold: 2495mm Horizontal / 2620mm Diagonal

  • Bay braces are used for the lateral bracing ringlock scaffolding. Bay braces can also be used as obtuse angle mid rail and top or hand guard rails in conjunction with METEC stair system.
